We expect people to leave our events with new business relationships and opportunities. We work with who we are friends with, so get ready to foster some new friendships! There are no membership or age requirements for MHYP socials, everyone is welcome to come see what we are all about.
Starting this month, we will be charging a non-members a $10 fee for entry to our event. Proceeds of this event will be donated to our featured Non-Profit, Habitat for Humanity.
We also feature food and drink specials and a fish-bowl drawing that includes fantastic giveaways and prizes (must be present to win).
About Habitat for Humanity
Millard and Linda Fuller founded Habitat for Humanity in 1976 during their time at Koinonia Farm, a small, interracial, Christian community outside of Americus, Georgia. The concept centered on those in need of adequate shelter working side by side with volunteers to build simple, decent houses. The houses would be built at no profit and interest would not be charged on the loans. Building costs would be financed by a revolving fund called “The Fund for Humanity.” The Fund for Humanity’s mission statement said: “What the poor need is not charity but capital, not caseworkers but co-workers. And what the rich need is a wise, honorable and just way of divesting themselves of their overabundance. The Fund for Humanity will meet both of these needs. Money for the fund will come from shared gifts by those who feel they have more than they need and from non-interest bearing loans from those who cannot afford to make a gift but who do want to provide working capital for the disinherited . . . The fund will give away no money. It is not a handout.” As a direct result, Habitat was built on the idea of providing a hand UP, not a hand OUT. Since its inception, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 300,000 houses, sheltering more than 1.5 million people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide.

About Central Bistro and Bar
We opened Central with one goal: to be a true American restaurant. For us, this meant drawing on our many different dining experiences and assembling them in a way that held meaning for us and for our guests.
To this end, we’ve created cuisine that is inspired not only by the best ingredients, but also from Lance’s collection of recipes and by the exquisite technique and presentation by some of the best chefs in the country. We make fine food but without the side of pretense. It’s inspired and very clever but also deeply nourishing and satisfying.
We’ve built a remarkable space with beautiful color. Concrete columns and raw boxcar material provide the structure and modern lighting and fixtures round out the room. The restaurant is punctuated with pieces from Isiah’s massive collection of Denver vintage finds. These tokens of the past tell a story and express our desire to be seen as an authentic, community-based restaurant.
Most importantly, we’ve created a culture that allows us to take care of you. We want our guests to come together with friends and family to relax and reminisce. We want to spoil, delight and pamper you a bit. We want you to feel like you matter and to know that we have your back.
We love our slice of America: the way the sunset looks against the city skyline, the sound of laughter from our patio, the chilled glass of wine poured at the bar, the roasted chicken being plated in the kitchen…It connects us to each other and provides a shared understanding of what matters most in life. Eating, drinking, nurturing…it’s all Central.
