January Table for Ten Recap

The Table of Ten this month featured Jayne Buck, VP of Tourism for Visit Denver.  It was a great conversation on culture, travel and Denver’s tourism market. Our Table of 10 events provide MHYP members an opportunity to meet and converse with top-level business, community, and social leaders in Denver. These lunches will give you exclusive access to people who's time is at a premium, in a setting that promotes open conversation. Come excited, and ready to ask questions and learn from the best Denver has to offer.

Jayne Buck has served as Vice President of Tourism for VISIT DENVER, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, since 1999.  She is responsible for all leisure marketing efforts for Metro Denver, including international and consumer marketing, implementing an annual $3 million consumer marketing campaign.

In addition, Jayne is responsible for visitor information centers and visitor services, the front line hospitality training (Go the EXTRA Mile), Denver Arts Week, the Cultural Tourism Committee, Denver 365 online event calendar, DENVER2for1TIX program and most recently the Mile High Culture Pass which offers one ticket to 7 attractions plus discounted admission to the Molly Brown House Museum. She manages eight full-time staff and 18 part-time staff.

She is active in cultural, multicultural and neighborhood tourism initiatives, and also works closely with Denver International Airport, the Colorado Tourism Office and international marketing alliances within the region.

She served on the Cherry Creek Arts Festival Board of Directors for eight years, and was Chair in 2010.  She currently serves on the Denver Theater District board and is also a member of the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District’s (SCFD) Denver County Cultural Council, and the Mayor’s Commission on Cultural Affairs.

Prior to coming to Denver, Jayne served as Director of Tourism for St Paul CVB in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was born in Minnesota, a farmer’s daughter. She has 2 sons and 5 grandchildren, all of whom are budding artists already.
