All volunteer slots have been filled at this time and registration is closed. Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you at another volunteer event. Don't forget, all proceeds from ticket sales, a silent auction, and in-person donations at the December 16 MHYP Annual winter gala will benefit another great local non-profit, Place Bridge Academy. Sign to up to attend!

With Thanksgiving coming up, it’s the perfect time for us to give back and support those in our community facing food insecurity.

Join MHYP for a rewarding volunteer opportunity at Metro Caring's Fresh Foods Market, where we'll work together to support our community by providing fresh, nutritious food to those in need. Volunteers will be actively involved in stocking shelves, organizing produce, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and assisting clients in selecting food items. You’ll also have the chance to provide helpful information about healthy choices and contribute to the market’s overall operations.

This hands-on experience offers a direct way to impact the lives of individuals in our community by alleviating hunger and promoting healthy eating habits. It's a fulfilling opportunity to engage with fellow team members while making a real difference.

Volunteer Slots Available: 10 spaces available, so sign up soon! If all slots are filled, we will maintain a waitlist and notify you if a spot becomes available.

Arrival Instructions:

  • Arrival Time: All volunteers must arrive promptly by 5:30pm for our volunteer gathering. Upon arrival, please follow the designated signs for volunteers to our Education Center, where you will be welcomed and given your assignments for the evening.
  • Dress Code: As this is an active warehouse environment, please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable attire to ensure safety and comfort throughout the shift.

Required Actions Before Arrival:

  • Liability Waiver and Intake Form: All volunteers must complete a liability waiver and intake form prior to the event. These forms will be sent via email by a Philanthropy Committee member closer to the event date. Please complete these forms in advance to streamline the check-in process and ensure a smooth start to your shift.
  • Parking Information: To prioritize spaces for our community members, please avoid parking in the Metro Caring lot. Alternative parking is available at St. Joseph's Parking Lot. A map and detailed instructions will be provided in an email from the Philanthropy Chair prior to the event.

If you have any questions or require additional information, feel free to reach out. We look forward to volunteering with you!
