Colorado added 11,600 jobs to its payrolls in April, the biggest one-month job gain of the year to date, and the state's unemployment rate fell two-tenths of a percentage point, to 6.9 percent, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment reported Friday.
The gain of 11,600 payroll jobs last month, as estimated from results of an employer survey, topped increases of 500 jobs in March, 10,800 in February and 7,100 in January. The average monthly gain over the last 12 months is 5,267 jobs.
