Denver will implement programs to increase capital lending for small companies and to streamline business licensing in the next six months as part of its goal to become a “21st Century city,” Mayor Michael Hancocksaid at his first State of the City address Monday.
Addressing 400 people at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Hancock said he has taken steps to improve Denver’s business climate in his first year in office, such as landing direct flights to Europe and Asia and jump-starting the renovation ofDenver Union Station.
