Events

The Horse Protection League is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, located at the historic Churches Ranch in Golden, Colorado. They provide a home for horses, donkeys, and mules whose owners have surrendered them as well as those seized by court orders or humane societies. The Horse Protection League provides their horses with a balanced diet, medical and farrier care, training, a social life, and opportunities to graze in open pasture. Their staff and volunteers work with the horses to evaluate them, exercise them, and train them with the goal to find forever homes for all of their horses.

MHYP will be volunteering at the Horse Protection League’s ranch by removing saplings from the property followed by an MHYP volunteer happy hour! 
We advise you to bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses and/or a hat, and work gloves if you have them! Closed-toed shoes are required to participate.

The Horse Protection League does not have their own registration portal for volunteers. MHYP volunteers should RSVP on the MHYP event page on the website.
