Our Table of 10 event provides MHYP members an opportunity to meet and converse with top-level business, community, and social leaders in Denver. These private lunches will give you exclusive access to people who's time is at a premium, in a setting that promotes open conversation. Come prepared to ask questions and learn from the best Denver has to offer.  This exclusive event is limited to 10 MHYP Members and registration opens at 10am on Wednesday one week prior to the event.

About Kynnie Martin, Senior Foundation Representative at Xcel Energy


Kynnie Martin is the Senior Foundation Representative for Xcel Energy, based in Denver, Colorado. She is responsible for the coordination of statewide CSR activities to include grant making, sponsorships, United Way campaign, employee engagement programs, and others on behalf of the Xcel Energy Foundation.

Kynnie joined Xcel Energy in November, 2013 to spearhead the company’s veteran hiring program. Kynnie is a U.S. Army veteran, having served five years on active duty as a Military Intelligence officer. She deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn (formerly Iraqi Freedom) from 2005-06 as a platoon leader with the 3rd Infantry Division’s first Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Company (drones). She was honorably discharged as a Captain in 2007, and is a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

Kynnie earned her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University, is currently enrolled in the Masters of Public Administration course at the University of Colorado, Denver, and is an alum of Legacy Denver, a program with the Denver Leadership Foundation.

For her work in veteran employment, she has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal 40 Under 40 Class of 2015, CivilianJobs.com as a Top 40 Under 40 for Military (2014) and was recognized by the Call of Duty Endowment as an Outstanding Female Veteran (2012). She serves as on the advisory committee to Women Veterans of Colorado and serves on the veteran advisory and service selection boards for her senate and congressional representatives. Her current board service includes being the Chair for the Xcel Energy Military Ombudsmen for Veterans and Employees (MOVE) Business Resource Group, Colorado Nonprofit Association and Colorado Succeeds. Kynnie’s military service is featured in the Emmy award-winning documentary, “Women Warriors: A Vision of Valor” which is housed in the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project. She and her husband, Joel, West Point class of 2002, have two daughters and reside in Wash Park.
