Companies struggle with consistent and organized responses to parents when they announce they’re expecting. That mismanagement often leads to confusion, resentment, unconscious bias and a variety of other negative effects to employees and employers. Hashtag bummer.

This workshop aims to change that narrative. It will teach you actionable approaches to positively manage the expecting, on leave, and return to work lifecycle. The results? Maximize retention. Improve engagement. Increase productivity. Can I get a hell-yeah-lujah? We will also cover the evolving landscape of family leave laws because compliance isn’t just for lawyers. Leave made easy, so you can rest easy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Effectively respond to moms (and dads!) when they make the unexpected “expecting” announcement.
  • Hear war stories about the do’s and definitely do not’s of parental leave management. Live in the trenches. Avoid the scars.
  • Understand how to plan for and then successfully handle the expecting, on leave, and return to work journey…like a boss.

This workshop will be led by Jennifer Henderson Jennifer Henderson, founder and CEO of TiLT, a company revolutionizing parental leave in the workplace. TiLT’s tech-enabled platform manages the entire lifecycle before, during and after leave to help companies retain top talent, improve employee engagement and ultimately improve employees health and wellness.

PARENTHOOD UNPLUGGED is our monthly gathering of humans raising humans! It’s our goal to provide you a space to interact with other parents and share in the mutual joys and challenges of raising kids. Each event highlights a fellow parent who leads the networking, focused on a key question as it relates to support working women and their allies across business, parenthood and advocacy.
