Our Table of 10 event provides MHYP members an opportunity to meet and converse with top-level business, community, and social leaders in Denver. This private lunch will give you exclusive access to people who's time is at a premium, in a setting that promotes open conversation. About Tara Moyer

Tara Moyer is the Regional Executive Director for the Denver Region for ALSAC/St. Jude and is entering her twentieth year supporting the mission. Tara started her relationship with ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as an individual contributor. She fell in love with not only the mission but the people within St. Jude. The leadership team challenges Tara and her team daily to advance the cause and give their best to their local communities. The more time Tara spends with St. Jude, the deeper her commitment to the mission grows.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital’s mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of its founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or a family's ability to pay. ALSAC is the power behind St. Jude. It was also founded by Danny Thomas in 1957 to be the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and its sole mission is to raise the funds and awareness necessary to operate and maintain the hospital. ALSAC is responsible for raising 75% of the funds necessary to operate St. Jude.

In 1999, Tara joined ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a Regional Representative in the newly opened Denver office. Since joining she has had the opportunity to work in many positions within the organization, always in the field, including many years in California. She was privileged to be selected to work on the National Dream Home Giveaway Campaign team, where raffles are held to for forty homes across the nation – granting winning families a dream home and St. Jude families the dream of a cure for childhood diseases. Tara appreciated the new perspective she gained working with markets and volunteer groups throughout the country. Twelve years ago she brought her experience and knowledge back to Colorado to take the new Regional Executive Director position overseeing ALSAC/St. Jude in Colorado and Wyoming.

Tara’s team of six collectively work on all of ALSAC’s major fundraising programs including radiothons, Dream Home, promotions, galas, and many community partnerships. Volunteers are a crucial part of her work. Tara and her team rely on volunteers in many capacities and value the time and treasures that volunteers provide to ALSAC/St. Jude. 

Tara’s personal philosophy and leadership style is founded open and honest communication. Tara works hard to create a family environment in her office and even recruited her father to chair the Kansas City Gala. She is proud of the work she and her team do and loves sharing the St. Jude mission with anyone who will listen.

A proud Coloradan, Tara loves the sunshine and active lifestyle so accessible in the beautiful state. She grew up in rural Kansas and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Kansas State University. Tara and her husband, Randy, are training to run the St. Jude Memphis Marathon in December of 2019. Randy is an avid fly fisherman and owns a small business in Denver. They have two amazing girls, 11-year-old Dylan and 9-year-old Brooklyn. When not working, you can usually find Tara on a soccer field or out exploring the Colorado Rockies.
