Join MHYP for a meaningful volunteer opportunity at the Urban Peak youth homeless shelter, where a small team of 5–7 MHYP volunteers will prepare and serve dinner for 50–75 young people living onsite. This is a hands-on opportunity to directly support Denver youth by providing something essential: a warm, nourishing meal in a safe, welcoming space. 

Urban Peak is Denver’s only nonprofit offering a full spectrum of care for youth ages 12–24 experiencing homelessness. Thank you for showing up with care, respect, and generosity. Providing a warm meal is a powerful way to support youth on their path toward stability—and your time truly makes a difference!

Location: Urban Peak – The Mothership, 1630 S Acoma St, Denver

Parking / Arrival: Street parking is available nearby. Please do not park in the DPS lot across the street. Ring the main doorbell and let staff know you’re volunteering. 

Schedule: Prep from 5:00–6:00pm | Serve: 6:00–7:00pm | Cleanup: until approx. 7:30pm

What to Wear: Closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing; no flip-flops or revealing attire

Requirements: Registered volunteers must watch a 20-minute food safety video and read important guidelines prior to arrival. The video link and guidelines will be emailed to volunteers at least 48 hours in advance of the volunteer event. Additionally, all volunteers will be required to sign a waiver on-site.
